In support of other organizations driving positive impacts for the Assyrian community, we want to let you know of AND challenge you to complete the #SyriacChallenge created by the Assyrian Chaldean Syriac Student Union – ACSSU of Canada!

The Syriac Challenge is for all Assyrians/Chaldeans/Syriacs!

The point of this challenge is to get Assyrians from around the world and from different tribes and churches to participate, so that we are all able to learn and appreciate the plurality of our language.

Kudos to the ACSSU of Canada for putting together this genius social media campaign!

Here are the rules with a video from the ACSSU of Canada’s president – Danno Sorisho.

ACSSU introduces a fun and educational online project called Syriac Challenge for all Assyrians (also known as Chaldeans and Syriacs) to participate in! The point of this challenge is to get Assyrians from around the world and from different tribes and churches to participate so that we are all able to learn and appreciate the plurality of our language. After this we will be able to see the various dialects, and how one word can be said in many different ways.

We ask everyone to record themselves saying the following words and post them on Facebook with the hashtag #SyriacChallenge. Tag your friends to create a chain reaction and keep the challenge going!
